NOVA’s Respiratory Therapy program is among a select group of programs that has been recognized by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) to receive the Distinguished RRT Credentialing Success Award.
The award is presented as part of CoARC’s continued effort to value the RRT credential as a standard of professional achievement. CoARC views the RRT credential as a measure of a program’s success in inspiring its graduates to achieve their highest educational and professional aspirations.
Selection for the award is based on key accreditation metrics documented in the 2019 Annual Report of Current Status. These programs were required to:
- Have three or more years of outcomes data.
- Hold accreditation without a progress report.
- Document RRT credentialing success of 90% or above.
- Meet or exceed established CoARC thresholds for CRT credentialing success, retention, and on-time graduation rate.
NOVA will receive a certificate of recognition during the CoARC reception in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., later this summer.
