NOVA Chefs Help Judge Culinary Competition

NOVA Chefs Mike Herbert and Benita Wong served on a judging panel for the ‘Chopped’ competition at Edison High School Culinary Academy.

Chef Herbert judged a session in which students prepared appetizers with ingredients from a mystery basket. Chef Wong judged teams preparing entrees from an assortment of ingredients including boneless, skinless chicken breasts, mayonnaise, barbecue-flavored corn nuts, and Froot Loops cereal.

The students’ culinary skills and ingenuity were put to the test as they formulated various fried, stir-fried, baked, and sautéed chicken entrees.
