NOVA’s own Chola Chhetri, an IT professor at the Loudoun Campus, was recently named a Chancellor’s Faculty Fellow at the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) Board Meeting.

The Chancellor’s Faculty Fellowship program provides full-time teaching, administrative, and professional faculty who have been with the VCCS a minimum of three years with the opportunity to prepare for top-level management and instructional positions within the system. Three fellows may be selected each year, each receiving up to a one-year leave of absence with support for (three quarters) salary and expenses. Fellows are to focus on their doctoral program during their leave, then ‘give back’ to the system by resuming their employment for a period at least twice the length of their leave.

Chhetri is expected to graduate from his doctoral program at George Mason University’s Volgenau School of Engineering in May of 2020.
