NOVA Day is celebrated annually as an opportunity for new and returning students to familiarize themselves with one another and campus organizations. This year, faculty and staff at the Medical Education Campus attended the event to commemorate the beginning of the Fall 2018 session and interact with the campus groups.
The Office of Student Life hosts NOVA Day in addition to many other programming activities, service projects and club opportunities throughout the year. MEC has over 10 healthcare related clubs, organizations and interest groups including the Dental Hygiene Club (DNH), Diagnostic Imaging Club (RAD), Emergency Medical Services Club (EMS), Medical Laboratory Technology (MeLT) Club and Student Occupational Therapy Association (OTA), giving every NOVA student the opportunity to become a leader and make a positive contribution to the community.
Participating in student clubs and organizations is a shining example of how students learn to properly balance a strenuous course load and engage in campus activities. The four-hour event featured a club recruitment fair, yoga, dancing, giveaways and collectibles from the memorable day.
