Seadey Transfers to Slippery Rock

Former Northern Virginia Community College men’s basketball student-athlete Andre Seadey has signed a National Letter of Intent to play at NCAA Division II Slippery Rock for the upcoming 2018-19 season.

As a Nighthawk, Seadey played and started 27 games and averaged 7.7 points, 4.8 assists and 2.4 steals per game during the 2016-17 season. He also helped the Nighthawks to an opening round victory in the NJCAA Region 20 Tournament, where he scored 13 points and dished six assists in a win over Beaver County.

For his work in the classroom, the Centreville native was named Region 20 All-Academic and First Team All-Academic by the NJCAA.

Seadey is the third former Nighthawks to transfer to a Division II institution this off season, which includes Trevaun Hyatt and Frank Agyemang.
