The NOVA Diagnostic Medical Sonography program partnered with Lead Empower Teach (LET) International Consulting to host a Vascular Sonography Conference and Workshop June 1 thru 3 at NOVA’s Medical Education Campus.
The program included dynamic presentations on topics ranging from hemodynamics and ultrasound physics to peripheral and visceral vascular applications. The hands-on workshop, held in the DMS Lab, enabled participants to learn information on image optimization and protocols from experts in the field. NOVA’s DMS Program Director Leigh Giles-Brown was one of the featured speakers at the event.
The workshop offered an opportunity for local clinical site instructors and other sonographers to enhance their vascular knowledge and skills while earning more than 13 continuing MEC (CME) credits. In addition, NOVA DMS students volunteered at the event and interacted with the healthcare community. This is the second CME event for sonographers hosted at NOVA.
