MEC’s AtD Holds Olympic Event

MEC’s Achieving the Dream (AtD) team members had an Olympic-style event at the campus in Foley’s Forum on April 10. The event was held in the spirit of student, staff and faculty engagement. Students, staff and faculty competed in human anatomy assembly, a jump rope endurance challenge, wheelchair obstacle course race, corn hole toss and hula hoop endurance.

Students from the Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Radiography programs participated along with staff and faculty members from the Business Office, Advising Center, Provost Office, Nursing, Testing Center, Financial Aid and Physical Therapy. Participants showed their competitive side in all of the challenges to win medals and a trophy for their program/department.

At the end of the competitions, the department that won the most individual event medals won the trophy until the next MEC AtD Olympic event. The trophy winner this year was the Physical Therapy program. Congratulations PTA!
